We are excited about what God is doing here at Rowland Springs Baptist Church. We are a loving fellowship of believers who are committed to a walk of faith and a trust in God. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that Jesus Christ is man's only hope. Through application of God's Word, we believe a daily walk of victory is possible for all Christians. We are characterized by Biblical preaching, blended worship, friendly fellowship, and a caring ministry to people like you.
Our mission is simple yet challenging: We exist to celebrate God's presence in worship, demonstrate God's love in ministry, communicate God's Word in evangelism, and educate God's people in discipleship, and generate God's harmony in fellowship. We believe that God has called us to these tasks, and we would be thrilled to have you join your hands and hearts with us to help us accomplish this mission.
God is blessing our church! We are growing with people just like you. If you have a desire to become a part of a growing fellowship that wants to love you, provide a place of service for you, and challenge you to allow Christ to live His life through you, we encourage you to join us here at Rowland Springs. We would be delighted to have you come visit us anytime. We have a special place for all ages. If you need more information about Rowland Springs, please give us a call at 770-382-4778.

Email TommyJust a bit about me and my family. I am a native of Chilton Co. Alabama where I was called into the ministry at a young age. I was led to my first church while still in high-school. I was the part-time Minister of Music for one of the small churches in the Chilton Baptist Association. I was able to continue to serve bi-vocationally while I attended both Wallace Community College in Selma and the University of Montevallo on vocal scholarships, studying Voice Performance and Musical Theater. While at Montevallo, God called me into full-time ministry and I have had the joy and privilege of serving Him as Minister of Music in churches both in Alabama and Georgia. I've also served as an Associate Pastor, Youth Minister and Minister of Education and strive each day to know and grow more in Christ and His direction for my life and His ministry through me.
I strive to be energetic and enthusiastic in all that I do and, as a blended worship leader, I believe there is something for everyone in our worship times. The most important thing for me is to be the Lead Worshipper to the Audience of One - God Almighty. To be the most effective worship leader, my heart's desire is to have an enthusiasm for Christ that is so contagious that everyone within the sound of my voice catches it!
There is always more to learn and areas in which to grow, I'm thankful for the opportunities of continued studies in both ministry and music. I've studied through extension courses at Samford University in Birmingham I also studied religion at Andersonville Seminary in Camilla, Georgia. Reinhardt University in Waleska, Georgia has afforded me the opportunity of growth and classes in Church Music specifically; and I am currently studying religion with Liberty University Online.
Both of my parents have been serving in local churches my entire life, in various roles. My father spent more than 25 years in the Music Ministry before being called to preach and my mom has served every age group there is, in both teaching and music. Having a family who loves the Lord and seeks His will and direction has helped guide me through every stage of my life.....speaking of family;
I am so blessed to have a wonderful, loving wife who loves the Lord and has a passion to study His word and grow closer to him. Melissa sings alto in our Worship Choir, and also plays the piano and keyboard on occasion for us or one of our praise teams; she enjoys these involvements through music and uses her gifts further as a piano teacher in a School of the Arts. My ministry has been so enhanced through God blessing me with my helpmate.
God's blessings continue to overflow, as she has given us a perfect baby boy, just this past September. Forrest Lynwood gives us a renewed desire to live a life pleasing to Christ and an example to those we are honored to serve. His little eyes are always watching and our prayer is that He will see Jesus in us!
"Enthusiasm for Christ is Contagious.......Has anyone caught it from you?"
I found that quote many years ago while I was attending a conference. I took it and have grabbed hold of it in my life and ministry. My prayer for our church, our worship, our choirs, etc. is that each time we open our mouths, we are opening our hearts to all that God is to us and that the enthusiasm we have for the honor, the privilege....the humbleness to sing, exalt, and serve our Risen Savior.....is CONTAGIOUS!!!
'Til the Trumpet,

Email AdamAdam Burrell and his family lived in Trenton Georgia until coming to minister at Rowland Springs in April 2011. He is a graduate of Covington Theological Seminary in Fort Oglethorpe Georgia. He is currently pursuing a Masters degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville Kentucky. His 3 passions in life are: his God, his family, and his ministry. He has built his life on a single verse...
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” – Romans 12:2
His biggest desire in ministry is to see true disciples made for the Lord. He believes that God called his people to… “Go, and make disciples.” This is what He believes that God has called him to do. He loves being able to fulfill that calling in the lives of young people. This is because young people have lots of passion and zeal… and when you can combine that with truth… (He says) it can be a powerful thing.
Adam and his wife (Jessica) have two wonderful children… Belle Savanah and Corban Blake. If you would like to get in contact with Adam or have any question please feel free e-mail or call him any time.
